Maciej Robert Kulig

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Maciej Robert Kulig, a 19-year-old from Garfield, NJ, on October 11, 2023. Maciej leaves behind a loving family, including his parents, Angelika and Maciej Kulig, his devoted brother, Jasiu, and a group of cousins Patricia, Paulina, Andrea, Mateusz, Amelia, Ala, Kornelia, Amelia, and Antoni, all of whom held a special place in his heart. Maciej was also cherished by his grandparents, Zofia, Grazyna, and Waclaw, though he was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Robert Baran. Maciej graduated from Bergen Arts and Science Charter School in Hackensack and was pursuing a business degree at Bergen Community College. He was born with a huge passion for sports. Maciej lived a life with an enthusiasm in everything he did. From a young age, he displayed an unwavering love for basketball and soccer. His athleticism and dedication led him to excel in these sports, where he demonstrated a remarkable commitment to teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. However, it was on the ice where Maciej truly found his calling. His heart belonged to ice hockey and his journey in the sport was nothing short of extraordinary. He proudly represented various travel teams, and his determination and skill led his teams to victory in numerous tournaments. Maciej was not just a player, he was a leader and an inspiration to his fellow athletes. Beyond sports, Maciej cherished family moments, especially those spent fishing with his dad, uncle, and aunt on the serene waters of Long Island, creating memories that will forever stay with us. Family gatherings and holidays held a special place in his heart, and he found immense joy in the company of his numerous cousins during vacation trips. He had a deep love for music and was a skilled guitar player, often filling our hearts with beautiful melodies. His love for family, along with his big heart and kindness toward all pets, defined him as the best son a parent could wish for. Maciej's sudden departure has left an irreplaceable emptiness, and we will profoundly miss him. His memory will forever be imprinted in our hearts, and his spirit will remain a constant source of inspiration in all our endeavors and our daily lives In lieu of flowers donation to the family will be greatly appreciated.
